Rooted in SAMUE — traditional Japanese workwear, this piece is made to be worn with the ease of a lightweight jacket.
The body is cut from 100% cotton loop jacquard, woven with a mix of lime green and blue-grey yarns. The tiny loops create a rich, textured surface, while the two colors shift subtly depending on the light and angle.
From a distance, the fabric reads as a muted blue-grey. Up close, flashes of lime green begin to show through — an unexpected color mix that gives the fabric its own character without feeling too loud.
Soft to the touch and surprisingly light, the cotton fabric makes it an easy piece to throw on throughout the changing seasons. The wide body and relaxed sleeves keep the loose silhouette of traditional SAMUE, with plenty of room to layer over a tee or shirt.
A little more substantial than a cardigan, but far more relaxed than a jacket.
